Is that Mount Nemo?

I can't help but love that Granite.

I keep forgetting to take my camera on my journeys around Vancouver. Today's BC moment - cycling out along the Spanish Banks trails and up Marine Drive to UBC - at the peak, an eagle sitting in a tree overlooking the Norht Short mountains and the still snow covered peaks up Howe Sound.

If I were not Vancouver, I would wish to be Bill Pocock...

Robbie!

Those photos are actually from the quarry beside my mom"s property

About 30 metres behind the wide shot of the quarry is her driveway. 500 metres to the left is where you cut that big slice of maple with the chainsaw I still have with me.

BC moment sounds really, really, really fantastic. This must be the best of times out there.

Hey, did you know your old school UofG discovered the age of the trees growing out of the side of Mount Nemo and the other Niagara Escarpment rock is up to 1500 years old - the oldest in North America?

When I was a kid, I tried pulling some of the smaller trees out from the rock in my madness for wild bonsai. No luck - they hold on for dear life.
