Robertson Davies

Was mouthing through 'The Enthusiasms of Robertson Davies' last night and came across a funny Davies character description of Baron Corvo (born William Serafino Austin Lewis Mary Rolfe 1860-1913), a contraversial English author.
Nothing would have contented Rolfe except the power, wealth and title of a Renaissance cardinal-prince; to be only a struggling English author was unendurable bitterness.
I only wish he'd said that of me!
