Weird post over
On the Road to Discovery. Those crazy Japanese researchers have come up with an even more lifelike android that seems to breathe, "...speak and flutter her eyelids." I know it took them a long time to get a bipedal robot to walk, but this is a bit creepy. Why does she have to be so sexy?!
Thanks to
Issac Asimov for preparing us for the near future! Don't forget those robot rules, baby!
- A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
- A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
- A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
Wasn't there a fourth rule added by Asimov at some point after the death of a fictional character? Gotta remember...I'm going out for drinkies with Repliee-baby Friday night.
