Jack Handey, Art Connoisseur
Ms. X, shall we say, has drawn a funny article to my attention. Jack Handey (of Deep Thoughts fame) advises struggling artists on how to make paintings that sell.
Here's my favourite:
Here's my favourite:
Abstract White No. 1
This is a solid-white painting. You might be asking, “Is it O.K. to put in a fleck of color here and there?” I give up. Do whatever you want.

Baahhhh, I love Jack Handey!
So Ms. X it is then. I don't mind the mocking just easy does it sometimes, hah!
I think this one is my favourite....
Self-Portrait with Startled Expression
The key here is to be able to constantly startle yourself as you’re painting. One option is to hire a professional startler, but that can get expensive. (The best ones are from Ireland.) Be sure to use opening the bill from your startler as a free startle
Bill, YOU ARE ON FIRE!!! (please pronounce "fire" with two syllables).
I may be closing in on my selections for Billy P's artwork over the internet...
Is that picture in your mini-essay on quarrying with the trees behind the cut yours?
If so, me likey, me wantee, me pay cash money...
(please picture me in giant, faux-gold Channel sunglasses).
Thanks, blood.
Yeah, that top quality granite photo is mine and ready for processing.
What size and paper?
Well, for a man of my substantial financial means, money is, of course, no object...but for others out there of somewhat more..."modest" means who wish to purchase...(voice drops down a couple octaves) ...how much dough?

(e.g. 22x30 $255)
Standard paper? The price list...

(e.g. 24x30 $225)
Again, I'd have to check with the lab about resolution at the size you prefer.
Then consider this, a medium format camera with excellent resolution on paper would cost only $110 for a 24x30. A 48x48 would cost only $238.
Check out the imageworks website for all the info. They can print from large format 8x10 negatives.
