30 Seconds

Thanks to Mary Juric for pointing out artist Thilo Hoffman's website for 30 second videos.

I watched a couple of them and was reminded of that special level of hell reserved for those forced to watch home movies. At least then you know the crazy characters in the friend's home movie. The blessing is...they're only 30 seconds. That is if you paid the extra nickel for high speed internet.

Hey Professor Bill,
An interesting idea but mostly painful than not these ones....

Yeah.

That's just from the few that I saw (chunky streaming video). To be fair, I didn't see the shorts in all their streaming glory.

It goes to show the talent (or craft) required to tell something well, make it compelling beyond close friends. Simply calling it 'art' (the dodge of many a video/film performance project) doesn't fool anyone but the most gaga art theorist. It's not beyond us, it's just boring.

Well said! I kept watching more hoping they would get better or that really cool interesting one would appear but never did....Potential not fully realized due to lack of imagination and poor execution of the idea I think?...
