TV Nude Models

Shall I compare the shark documentary cliche to the artist
nude model TV show?

The most produced subject for TV documentaries is what? Sharks. Wet Bears. Only you can reason with bears, right?

Let's face it - it ain't about our boundless curiousity of
the natural world. It's about the operation of violence on the human mind. Violence fascinates us.

Now, the Sex....

The Bravo! channel is at it yet again with airing shows on the subject of the nude in art.
Explore the physical, emotional and mental requirements of nude modelling, while learning the hows and whys from current and former models, including Dina Vierny who posed for Matisse, in this aesthetic series that proves television, in itself, can be art.

Let's just cut through all the fancy words and get straight to the fact that it's all about sex. This isn't information presented to form knowledge. It's about tits and ass yet again. Not that I'm against tits and ass. I object to the sexualized presentation of female and male nudes as art on popular TV.

For the most part, a sexual frame surrounds nude images on TV. Boo, Bravo!, boo. Bravo's new motto: 'All About Ass'.
