Kevin Clarke for Mayor

When last we saw our intrepid hero, Kevin Clarke for Mayor, he was telling the crackheads across the street to "Get the hell out of Parkdale".

Here's some Clarke advertising material for his Mayor of Toronto bid.

Kevin baby seems to be pushing the love thing.

Best Gallery Crawl 'Show of the Night'. No jive.

"pushing the love thing" might very well be the best mayoral platform to grace this city in years. It's too bad no one will take it seriously.

I've got my fingers crossed that Enza Supermodel will run again. She's got it goin' on.

Right on, Kat!

Maybe there's strength in numbers here. Maybe a whole political team could band together with Clarke, Enza, and other colourful characters. The public employees would make certain services were still provided. I think the problem for most politicians is that they try to 'represent' what they think others want to see and hear. Why not just be yourself, tell your own truth. Then again, do like the spirit of compromise the pros seem to embrace. As much as I like the image of Clarke in the mayor's office with feet up on the desk, smoking a cigar (or chairing council meetings), not sure he could always be counted on to be reasonable.

Love, peace, and hope are pretty good things. Where's the soul in politics? I think Prime Minister Trudeau was right to say that the state has no business in the bedrooms of the nation. Yet, didn't the guy offer a great example in style? There's just too few politicians with charisma, originality, and general pizazz.
