Don't know about you, but Bill Maher ( and his writers) is the funniest person I know of. It's mostly non-partisan political comedy, but it's spot on.His weekly 'New Rules' is my must read.

Last night, after a brutal day at work, I happened into an Irish bar. Sitting at the bar were a few stand up comedians.
One of them, tries to make fun of me. In that "I'm being witty, pal" kind of way.
Unfortunately for him, I'm technically insane. Therefore, his attempts at humor didn't exactly wash with me. Of course, I laughed along, just to fit it. After all, they were at the bar first.
To cut a long story short, after a few more verbal jibes, this dude ends up giving me that steely eyed stare of pure hatred, that I can occasionally induce in some people very quickly. "Aha" I thought, "He's just another asshole, pretending to be funny, probably by appealing to the herd's comic sensibilities".
His friend, another stand up comic, was leaving the bar, on his way to do a show. I offered to attend the show, but he begged me not to go, haha.
Finally, mister steely eyes walks out as well. He says to me, "good luck". I said, "Fuck off".
That's my stand up comic experience for today.
