Elvis Sandwich

Today I made my first Elvis Sandwich - fried peanut butter and banana. I've read that Elvis liked to eat up to 12 of these babies in a sitting. Add some mashed potatoes on the side and it's quite an achievement.

So, the photos show how it went down. It's a good sandwich! I'd recommend maybe just 1/2 a banana instead of a full mashed banana. A full banana gets a bit sloppy.

I dunno about 12, but one is not enough. Thanks, King.

That's a good one.

I do observe the toronto art community from a blissfully detached stance. I like to think of myself like the Christians who would "Bare witness for God" at a safe distance to nuclear arms testings. The only risk to me (not radiation) is adding too many pounds from the wine and cheese.

Guess my Canadian version of a flaneur is more marching at a brisk pace than the French strolling. Toronto is a good city for walking in, though not as good as Paris in my limited experience. I'm the sorta 'get outta my way!' stormtrooper as opposed to the swell guy taking a turtle for a walk.

The sandwich looks so tasty - I've never tried one before so this might be my Elvis weekend. You're a culinary inspiration, Bill.
