Saatchi Doodle Dandies

Charles Saatchi, art collector extraordinaire, has started a new on-line, virtual art gallery for the people. Yes, now artists can show their work - for free - to the world. Not the first time this sort of thing has been done, but always a good idea I think.

The amusing part is the 'Your Studio' section where every month an art critic judges a computer image which contestants make on-line.

Here's November's winner...

'Piss Talk' by Nelson MacLeod

The Art Critic...
Emma Gray

It amuses the hell out of me that Gray tosses in an art reference in the critique:
"[They]are either hosing down the lawn with suspiciously yellow water, or they are like taking a leak! Either way, they look like fuzzy-edged versions of art work by Palm Springs artist Brian Calvin."
I guess you gotta say something.... You can try your hand at the competition here.

Okay, here's mine...

Destroy All Watermelons!

Was going through some old photos/video of my fabulous velomobile adventure and found this little gem. The ceremonial Judo-Chopping of the Watermelon at Mile Zero in Victoria, BC.

Avert your eyes, gentle ladies, lest you become enthralled by my raw animal prowesses!!!

Now, maybe, I can get on with my life....
