Had the day off and decided to do some paintings. It was fun to paint on the porch. Iced tea was a good tonic for the heat.

Hi Bill,

Thanks again for covering XXX Gallery in your Gallery Crawl a few weeks ago! I went back last night to see if I could print or save a copy of it for my portfolio/cv, but it appears you've taken it down. So I was wondering if I could somehow get a copy of it from you for my records.

I'm Xxxxx Xxxxx you took a picture of me in front of my black and white photos of Xxxxxxxx that were part of the group show called Xxxxxx Xxxxxx at XXX Gallery.

Thanks very much for the picture Bill. However, I wanted to document
your page as online coverage of my work and thus was looking for it in
the context of your Gallery Crawl page, like a screen shot or pdf of
what you present on the web. If that's possible.

Also now that I'm thinking of it we could use documentation of all
your coverage of XXXXXXX shows for our XXXXXXX XXXX press book, as we
do include and appreciate good web coverage of exhibitions in the
xxxxxxxx.

What I mean to say is I can fulfill your request - it's just a matter of work and logistics.

I went to only a small percentage of Xxxxxxx shows as photographing [medium type deleted - BP] gets to be a bit absurd in my mind. It's a question of either e-mailing you the file folders (20 MB), or I can burn you a CD of my Gallery Crawl archives for the [time period deleted -BP] of Xxxxxxx [time period deleted - BP].

E-mail or CD? If CD, when/where would you like to receive it?

The Gallery Crawl website is very simple.

Each week's page is written in HTML and the images are in JPEG format (72 dpi, 621x466 pixels standard).

Each week's directory folder includes the HTML page and accompanying images to fill the HTML text layout. So, in order to view the archived page for the relevant week, merely open the folder with the dates [file name/dates deleted - BP] and double 'click' on the .html file [file names/dates deleted - BP].

Your in-house web guy/gal can fill in any of the missing explanation.

Sure, I'll burn a CD and get it delivered to your office.

Now...tell me, Xxxxx, why should I take the time to do this work and spend my money for you when I've already spent my time and money promoting your work? Have you asked yourself, "What's in it for Bill?"

Yes Bill, I have though of it, that is why I have been very polite and apologetic about taking your time - I guess you haven't noticed. I think it would be good promotion of your new web venture to be included in the XXXXXXX press book to increase the profile of your site in the art world. Otherwise your just helping out a young artist, quoting from your mission statement This website exists to improve the career of artists Its your choice.

Also, in our [organization type deleted - BP] office I am among other things our in house web [gender type deleted - BP], and I do think there would be easier ways than you going to the trouble of burning and mailing a cd. 1.if something is on the web I can make a pdf of it (example attached), I do apologise for not doing so when I could and saving us this grief. 2. if you have the software to make pdf's, if you have the file on screen you should be able to hit print, select pages and then write it to a pdf file rather than a printer. It takes just a few minutes and then is small enough to email.

I didn't think this would be so complicated.

With respect to exceptional Gallery Crawl (GC) process activities, I must insist on public transperancy.

GC does not require nor seek XXXXXXX XXXX publicity mention as consideration for the special GC work product you've requested.

If you agree to a public posting of our e-mail exchange with respect to (Creative Commons 2.5 licensing agreement), I will send you a version of your GC photo with authentic GC certification. This GC certified image would be a first of its kind, and a signature GC product/service. Hey, I'm starting to get excited! Maybe I picked up some of that good ol' art pollen/pixie dust floating around!!
